President Court Allen called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. in the customer lounge of Pemberton Chevrolet with 10 members present.

The minutes from the August 14 meeting were read and approved.  A positive treasurer’s report was read and approved.

OLD BUSINESS:

The discussion on the procedure for reimbursing members for entry fees of car shows in excess of 100 miles was tabled until next month.

A discussion was held about the Centennial Parade to be held on October 6 in Ponca City. Club member Homer Nicholson had reported several months ago that there was a possibility that the parade promoters would want a couple of corvettes to participate in this parade.  Homer was unable to attend this meeting so Court will contact Homer to see if any corvettes are needed.

NEW BUSINESS:

Bob Anthony submitted bills for the domain names and web hosting for the Website.

ACTIVITIES:

Botts’, Thomason’s and Haughn’s attended the Caney Valley picnic at Copan Lake on Sunday.

September 29 – Perkins, OK

October 4 - 7 – Eureka Springs, AR

October 13 – Tonkawa, OK

All members participated in a discussion about what activities would be of interest to all members.  Many ideas were presented.  It was decided that Lynne would send out an email to all members to see if there is interest in these activities.

Members decided on having one more Show-n-Shine before winter sets in and decided on Saturday, October 20, weather permitting.  A new location was discussed and will be checked into.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:15 p.m. with 8 members going to Head Country Barbecue for dinner.
