A special meeting of the Cherokee Strip Corvette Club was held at 6:00 p.m. in the customer lounge area of Pemberton Chevrolet with 11 members present.

The purpose of this special meeting was to talk about plans for the car show on June 5, 2010.

Show chairman, Court Allen showed members the plaque design.   Court has already shown the design to Roy and he approves.  Members approved the plaque design.

No one has called the school district to get permission to use the East Middle School grounds for the Draggin’ Grand dinner on June 4.  Homer said to call Brett Smith.  Lynne will call Mr. Smith.

Hot Dogs, cookies, pop, water, ice chests, ice, chips, napkins, plates, and condiments are needed for Draggin’ Grand.  Rich got the hot dogs and cookies for the Veterans’ Day parade.  Court will talk to Rich to see where to get them.  Lois will get the napkins, plates, condiments and chips.  Members decided to wait until around Memorial Day weekend to purchase the necessary items as they will probably be on sale at the local stores.

2 tables are needed for Draggin’ Grand.  Homer will provide those.  Homer will order the dumpster and port-a-potties for the show and will get the 55 gallon trash cans and trash bags.  He will also provide the tents, tables and chairs for the show.

Mel, Lois and Lynne checked into having club t-shirts made for the show.  These shirts would have the same design as the plaques but would not have the date so the shirts can be worn in future years.  Three different shirt ideas were presented.  Members voted to have “sand” colored shirts with the plaque design on the back.  The CSCC logo inside an Oklahoma state shape will be on the front pocket area.  The exact cost will depend on the total number of shirts ordered.

The annual “bag stuffing” party will be announced as soon as all the goody bag items are received.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m. with 8 members going to Pizza Inn for dinner.
